A Community Hunt Meeting has been scheduled for

Please bring your mask to the meeting and if you have a large family, we ask that you send one member to the meeting to gather information and provide suggestions.

Topics:

• Scouting for location (suggestion of Bob Naponse’s camp – 2 hour drive conservatively)
• Food Kits for Families
• Camp for Participants – COVID-19 Precautionary Measures
• Cultural activities; teachings, crafts, songs, prayers, and more.

The group is asking for any trappers to attend and show how to harvest a beaver or mustkrat.

• Storytelling with Elders; learn about Atikameksheng Anishnawbek History and relocations of the community to the current location, old Portage Routes, and more

Due to COVID-19, many different precautionary measures are being looked at and the possibility that it could be cancelled due to an outbreak or the 2^nd wave. This will be closely monitored, and participants will be advised.
