Good Food Access Fund Grant will support Miijim Support Program

Atikameksheng Anishnawbek is committed to the health and safety of all Atikameksheng community residents through this pandemic.

Gimaa and Council approve to extend the State of Emergency to August 29, 2020.

The current State of Emergency is in effect until July 28, 2020. By extending the State of Emergency to August 29, 2020 this will allow for: Monitoring of current cases in the area and monitor and assess the situation as Ontario enters Stage 3 on Friday, July 17, 2020.

Updated Order to addressing Easing of Restrictions:

-All non-essential travel is discouraged, -Members will use PPE for essential travel (ie. medical appointments), -Easing of travel restrictions to areas where there are higher COVID-19 positive cases, -Individuals returning from the Greater Toronto Area or other regions outside of the province with higher incidences of COVID-19, are required to arrange for testing and to self-isolate while awaiting test results.

Amendments to Reopening of Gatherings Areas:

-Outdoor gatherings of 100 or less while maintaining 6 ft. physical distancing, if physical distancing is a challenge, a homemade mask must be worn, -Playgrounds and parks are permitted to reopen while maintaining 6 ft. physical distancing, -Basketball court (tennis courts) are permitted to reopen.

These changes are effective July 20, 2020.
