Atikameksheng Anishnawbek is committed to the health and safety of all Atikameksheng community residents through this pandemic.

Atikameksheng Anishnawbek is taking proactive measures to protect the community and our staff given on-going developments related to COVID-19. Because of this we have closed our office indefinitely and non-essential service staff will be working remotely. This will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis.

Until further notice, we will be closing our border to public traffic into Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. Please note that this border closure does not include residents, workers and deliveries.
We will have two people posted at the bridge entrance on 2 shifts a day with proper signage to advise of the border closure. We will also be placing new and larger signage to inform people that our borders are closed until further notice and that our shops are closed. R&J Fuels have reduced hours their fuel sales are only to residents and workers at this time. Thank you everyone for your cooperation in helping us protect our community, please assist us in spreading the word.

We have established an Atikameksheng COVID-19 Response Team do deal with matters in relation to this pandemic.

Questions? Comments? Julia Pegahmagabow has been hired as the COVID-19 Coordinator. To contact please email at or call 705 918 6752.

Our reception directory is currently being updated and we will be distributing a staff contact list during the office closure. We will have reception support during office hours to assist in directing inquires to the appropriate staff contacts. The staff contact list will be posted on our electronic sign at the front of the Band Office, on our official Facebook page, website as well as hard copies posted on the Band Office doors and in the Independent Living Centre (ILC). Please stay tuned.

All Programs will be cancelled for the next month and will be reassessed as we move forward.
