Ontario COVID Restrictions
Gimaa and Council will be implementing the Ontario Government Grey-Lockdown restrictions. We are adopting all the provincial restrictions as per:COVID-19 Restrictions -following the provincial measures
The Ontario Government has declared a Stay at Home Order. The safest options are to stay in the area of your home community and stay in the region. Please avoid all non-essential travel. Any person whose travel originates from a designated public health region is required to promptly arrange to be tested for COVID-19 if they are returning to the community. A person who has undergone a test for COVID-19 under this section: Must self-isolate either at home or in an isolation facility while awaiting test results, and May leave isolation upon obtaining a negative test result. A person who has undergone a test for COVID-19 under this section and who tests positive for COVID-19 shall immediately inform the Office of Community Health and Wellness and remain in self-isolation except to seek medical attention. Please see Amended Order #20-01-05 posted below.
We strongly recommend that all community members continue to be diligent by limiting travel to essential only, by frequently washing your hands, by wearing masks as much as possible, by physical distancing when in public areas, by staying within your close family circles, and by staying in if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Gimaa and Council approve to extend the State of Emergency to March 31, 2021.
Updated Order to addressing Easing of Restrictions:
-All non-essential travel is discouraged, -Members will use PPE for essential travel (ie. medical appointments), -Easing of travel restrictions to areas where there are higher COVID-19 positive cases, -Individuals returning from the Greater Toronto Area or other regions outside of the province with higher incidences of COVID-19, are required to arrange for testing and to self-isolate while awaiting test results.
