Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Electors of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek (Whitefish Lake) will be held at the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek Community Complex, 34 Reserve Rd on the 4th day of February 2021 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. for the purpose of nominating candidates for the Lands Committee as per Section 26.3 (b) of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek (Whitefish Lake) Land Management Code. There are six (6) positions open for a two (2) year term.
Eligibility to be nominated as a Lands Committee Member (Section 26.2)
(a) not have been convicted of an offence that was prosecuted by way of indictment;
(b) not be a bankrupt person; and
(c) not have been convicted of a corrupt practice in connection with an election, including accepting a bribe, dishonesty or wrongful conduct.
Copies of the Land Committee Election Regulations are available at the Administration Office at 25 Reserve Rd, for Atikameksheng Anishnawbek voters.
